The Africa Consumer Advocacy Foundation (ACAF) today announced the launch of a new consumer rights awareness campaign targeting five countries across East and West Africa, reaching an estimated 50,000 consumers in its first phase.
The campaign, which will run in both mainstream and community media, is designed to equip consumers with the tools they need to recognise unfair practices, report abuses, and seek redress.
A coordinated pan-African approach
“For too long, consumer voices have been the quietest voices in the marketplace,” said the ACAF team. “This campaign changes that.”
The campaign builds on ACAF’s six programme areas and will deploy materials in English, French, Kiswahili, and regional languages.
